Fillet

Round edges with a specified radius

Keyboard shortcut: F

Overview

The Fillet tool rounds sharp edges with a smooth curved surface. Select a face to fillet all its boundary edges, or Shift+click to select multiple faces. Variable radius fillets allow different radii at each end of an edge.

Natural Language Alternatives

Instead of using the tool, you can type these commands:

  • Fillet all edges with 0.125 inch radius
  • Add 3mm fillets to the top edges
  • Round the external edges with 1/4 inch radius
  • Fillet Face 2 and Face 3 with 1/8 inch radius

Tips

  • Click a face to select all edges around it at once
  • Apply fillets after other operations like holes and bosses
  • Smaller radii work better on internal corners
