Arc
Draw arcs and pie sectors
Overview
The Arc tool creates curved segments defined by inner radius, outer radius, start angle, and sweep angle. Set inner radius to 0 to create pie slices.
Parameters
| Parameter | Description | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Outer Radius | The outer radius of the arc | 0.5 in |
| Inner Radius | The inner radius (0 for pie slice) | 0 in |
| Start Angle | Where the arc begins (degrees) | 0° |
| Sweep Angle | The angular extent (1-360 degrees) | 90° |

How to Use
1
Select the Arc tool
Click Arc in the sketch toolbar.
2
Set radii
Enter outer radius, and inner radius if creating a ring segment.
3
Set angles
Enter start angle and sweep angle.
4
Position the arc
Click on the sketch plane to place the center.
Natural Language Alternatives
Instead of using the tool, you can type these commands:
Draw a 90-degree arc with 1 inch radiusSketch a semicircle 2 inches in diameterCreate a ring segment from 0 to 180 degrees
Tips
- Inner radius of 0 creates a solid pie slice
- Use for partial cylinders and curved features
- Sweep angle of 360° creates a full ring or circle
